Description
BEP’s VSR units allow battery independence by charging the two batteries in a system separately. When the voltage of the first battery reaches a predetermined level, the batteries combine for charging.
Once the voltage falls (the engine stops) the batteries separate again meaning the draw off each battery is separate and independent of the other.
Simple, cheap and easy to install, the VSR system has no voltage drop in the system (unlike diodes) and requires no modification to the charging source.
The 714-140A-DVSR combines a battery selector switch with the diode for a simple two-battery system. This model does not separate out starting
and house loads – everything is drawn from one battery with the second in reserve.
